Day 21: Victory Through Our Lord Jesus Christ
On the final day of our fast, the eve of Good Friday, we look at the God who wins. Jesus has overcome the world, and through Him overwhelming victory is ours.
Day 20: No Good Thing Withheld
When Moses asked to see God’s glory, God showed him His goodness. On Day 20 we remember that there is no darkness in God at all, and we thank Him for His greatest gift.
Day 19: The Lord Corrects Those He Loves
Nobody enjoys being corrected, but God’s correction is a sign that we belong to Him. On Day 19 we learn to welcome His discipline and to let Scripture put us right.
Day 18: To Seek and Save the Lost
From Abraham to the cross, God has been working out one purpose: to bring people back to Himself. On Day 18 we ask what part He is calling us to play in it.
Day 17: Like a Father to His Children
God knows exactly how weak we are, and He is tender towards us. On Day 17, Palm Sunday, we receive His compassion and ask who needs to receive it from us.
Day 16: The Work of His Hands
The God who made everything made you, and He gave you gifts on purpose. On Day 16 we praise the Creator and ask how He wants us to use what He has put in our hands.
Day 15: The God Who Cannot Lie
People break their word. God never has. On Day 15 we see why His word can be trusted completely, and what that means for the way we live and work for Him.
Day 14: Jesus Wept
God is not unmoved by what we go through. On Day 14 we stand beside Jesus at a graveside, hear Him weep over a city and pray for hearts that have grown hard.
Day 13: Under the Shelter of His Wings
Jeremiah sang about God’s faithfulness while sitting in the ruins of his city. On Day 13 we learn to put our hope in the God who cannot be anything other than faithful.
Day 12: The Lord Who Came to Serve
The Lord of all took the position of a slave. On Day 12 we look at the God who serves, and we ask Him where He wants us to pick up a towel.
Day 11: Nowhere He Is Not
There is nowhere you can go where God is not already there. On Day 11 we take comfort from the God who goes ahead of us, stays with us and will one day make His home among us.
Day 10: Not One Promise Failed
After years of waiting, Israel could say that not one of God’s promises had failed. On Day 10 we see why His promises can be trusted, and we take hold of one for ourselves.
Day 9: This Is the Way You Should Go
God does not leave His children to find their own way. On Day 9 we hear His promise to guide us continually, and we learn how the Holy Spirit leads us into truth.
Day 8: The God Who Gives Generously
The God who gave His own Son will not be mean with anything else. On Day 8 we trust Him to supply what we need, and we ask Him to grow His generous heart in us.
Day 7: Loved with an Everlasting Love
God’s love did not begin when you started behaving well, and it will not end when you fail. On Day 7 we hear what He says about His love, and we ask for hearts that can take it in.
Day 6: Saved Because of His Mercy
Mercy is God not giving us what we deserve. On Day 6 we remember what we were, see why God saved us and come boldly to His throne for the mercy we need today.
Day 5: The Rock Whose Work Is Perfect
Everything God does is just and fair. On Day 5 we bring Him the situations where we long for justice, and hear His call to stand up for those who have no voice.
Day 4: Sins Thrown into the Depths of the Sea
Many of us are still trying to pay God back for what Jesus has already put right. On Day 4 we hear how completely God forgives, and we ask for grace to forgive others.
Day 3: The God Who Always Does Right
God always does what is right, without favouritism. On Day 3 we see how a righteous God can accept people like us, and why we can leave every wrong done to us in His hands.
Day 2: Holy, Holy, Holy Is the Lord
Isaiah saw the Lord on His throne and heard the angels cry “Holy”. On Day 2 we look at what God’s holiness means, and what it means for people who belong to Him.
