Prosperous Nankinga's Testimony
From Family Rejection to Faith Restored
At All Nations Community Church, we love hearing how God works miracles of restoration within families.
In this beautiful testimony, Prosperous Nankinga reflects on the life-changing power of the cross and the incredible grace of God. Growing up in a strict Catholic family, Prosperous attended expensive boarding schools from a very young age. Her father had high expectations for her life. When she moved to the UK and gave her life to Christ, her family was deeply disappointed. The rejection was so severe that her father told her she would not be welcomed back to the family even when she died.
But Prosperous stood firm in her faith. She told her father that having Christ was all that mattered.
Today, she testifies to the marvellous things God has done since she accepted Him as her personal saviour. The grace that located her and saved her has now completely transformed her family dynamic. Now, when she goes home, her father respectfully calls her his pastor and kneels down to pray with her. The very people who once rejected her new faith now look to her for prayer and spiritual support.
Prosperous draws comfort from Ephesians 2:8, reminding us that it is by grace we have been saved. She also holds tightly to the promise in John 16:33, finding peace in Christ despite the world's troubles. She even shares a touching moment of passing this faith to the next generation, recalling how her young son reminded her that God has already made her beautiful.
Her testimony carries a profound message of hope for anyone experiencing family division because of their faith.
To those facing rejection from loved ones, it is a reminder to stand firm and trust that God can soften even the hardest of hearts over time.
To the church, it is a call to never forget the power of the cross and the grace that continues to change lives every single day.
