In this beautiful testimony, Bola Adebambo starts with a heartfelt song of worship before sharing a powerful story from her early years of marriage. As young Christians, Bola and her husband discovered they both carried the sickle cell trait. Medical specialists called them in to explain the high probability that their children could be born with sickle cell disease.
During her first pregnancy, doctors offered invasive testing to determine if the baby had the condition, presenting abortion as an option if the results were positive. Bola and her husband chose not to go through with the testing. Instead, they placed their complete trust in God, believing He is the giver of life and would not give them a burden too heavy to carry. Miraculously, their first child was born completely clear of the disease.
When Bola fell pregnant a second time, the doctors presented even more warnings, adding the potential risk of Down syndrome. Once again, the couple refused to be swayed by fear. They stood firmly on the word of God, and their second child was born perfectly healthy. By the time they expected their third child, their faith was unwavering. Despite repeated medical warnings at the same hospital, they maintained their stance, and God proved faithful once more. Today, all three of their children are healthy and completely free of sickle cell disease.
Bola’s testimony carries a vital message for everyone, especially the younger generation.
