Understanding Your Identity

Good morning, Men of Honour! Today is a day to remind ourselves of the fundamental truth that shapes our identity and purpose.
In Job 33:4 (NIV), we learn, "The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life." This verse is a reminder that our life and essence were directly given to us by God Himself. Understanding who we are cannot be separated from knowing who God is. He is our Creator, and He designed us with a unique plan and destiny in mind.
Many men wander through life battling aimlessly, feeling lost and frustrated at day’s end because they don’t recognise their true fight or their real enemy. But when you know that God is your Source and that there is an enemy opposing your eternal spirit, you can approach life with direction and determination.
Let us not allow the world to define us or dictate our paths. Our true identity and purpose are found when we look to God, allowing His Spirit to lead us. Today, declare with confidence, *The Spirit of God has made me. The breath of God is giving me life.* Reject any identity not rooted in Him.
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, thank You for breathing life into us and for revealing our true identity through Your Spirit. Help us today to walk in the purpose You have set before us, and to fight our battles with the knowledge that You are our Source and strength. Let us not be swayed by the world’s definitions but be firmly rooted in what You have spoken over our lives. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
