Guarding Your Spirit
Wednesday, 3 July 2024
Good morning, Men of Honour! Today, let’s reflect on the tremendous value of our spiritual well-being. We often secure our physical possessions with alarms and locks, recognising their worth and the presence of thieves. Yet, how often do we protect our most precious asset, our spirit?
You are incredibly valuable to God. Created in His image, you possess a spirit that emanates from God Himself. This divine connection makes you a target for spiritual theft. The enemy aims to steal and destroy what is most valuable, your spiritual life.
How do we guard our spirits?
First, strengthen your relationship with Jesus. Communicate with Him daily and let Him shape your identity.
Second, immerse yourself in the Word of God. Read, study, and meditate on the scriptures to fortify your mind.
Lastly, Stay vigilant. While the thief prowls continuously, remember that Jesus came to restore what has been lost. In Him, find the abundance of life.
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today seeking Your protection and wisdom. Please help us to guard our spirits with the same vigilance that we use to protect our physical treasures. May we deepen our relationship with you, strengthen ourselves with Your Word, and continuously worship You. Guide us to live in the fullness of the life You have restored through Christ. Amen.
