Day 2 - Jesus died to destroy captivity
Jesus declared that God had anointed him to bring good news to the afflicted. He said that God had sent him to proclaim freedom for captives, to give sight to the blind, and to free those oppressed by injustice. He promised that the year of the Lord’s favor had arrived.
Day 1 - Jesus died to become the mediator of the New Covenant
God desires all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. Through Jesus’ death and resurrection, He made it possible for us to be reconciled to God, no matter who we are. The Lord offers salvation to everyone who calls on Him. We are encouraged to intercede for all people, so that God's will is done and everyone can come to repentance.
The Simple Gospel
God is offering everyone a chance to be saved. All we have to do is call on Jesus. It doesn't matter who we are or what we have done - God wants to save us. We can have hope and trust in Him. He will never reject us or turn us away if we sincerely come to Him with faith in His name. There is no other way to be saved, no other name we can call on, so let us turn to Jesus and be saved.
What is Happening to the World?
You can learn many wonderful things about the world and its people through science, history, and observation. However, you cannot learn the answers to many of the great questions of life from these sources. They do not tell how life began, what its purpose is, and what the future holds.
What is the Truth about God?
God is the Creator, the Ruler, and the Judge of the universe. As Creator He has made everything that exists. As Ruler He has certain laws for the good of all His creatures and His world. As Judge He will decide the final reward of men and women according to how they have responded to Him. Since God is your Creator, Ruler, and Judge, you need to know the truth about Him and His plan for you. God is a loving Father, too; He offers you true joy. You need to know Him to enjoy His love and blessings.
