The verse for today
1 John 4:16 (NIV) 16 And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.
We often hear people say that they are searching for love and acceptance, but the truth is, it's right in front of us. God's love is all around us, and all we have to do is open our hearts to receive it. He is the source of all love and by living in His love, we can experience true love in our relationships with others.
The beauty of God's love is that it is not based on our performance or behavior. We don't have to be perfect or do anything special to earn it. It's a love that is freely given and never earned. No matter what we do or say, God's love remains the same. This is the kind of love that we all long for in our lives. A love that is constant, unchanging, and always present.
When we live in God's love, it changes everything. It gives us a sense of security and confidence in who we are. It also helps us to see others in a different light, as we are able to extend the same love and compassion to them that God has shown us. This love is not just a feeling, but it's a way of life. It's a love that transforms us from the inside out and helps us to become the people God has created us to be.
So, how do we live in God's love? It's simple, just spend time with Him. Get to know Him and His character. Read the Bible, pray, and surround yourself with people who will encourage and uplift you. By doing these things, you will begin to experience the love of God in a deeper and more meaningful way.
In conclusion, let's not forget the power of God's love. No matter what we may face in life, we can always rely on it. It is a love that is never-ending and always present. So let's live in it, embrace it, and let it transform us into the people God has created us to be.
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, thank you for your unconditional, unending, and unfailing love. Thank you for loving us just the way we are, flaws and all. Help us to rely on your love every day and to live in it, by loving others and taking care of ourselves. May we experience your presence in a powerful way as we live in love. Amen.
May you be filled with His strength, His peace, and His joy today and always.
In Christ,
Pastor Ras
