Welcome to All Nations Community Church, today we are looking into the heart of spiritual growth and divine promises. Our focus will be in the story of Joshua, particularly in Joshua 4:14, where the Lord exalted Joshua in the sight of all Israel. This momentous occasion wasn’t just a historical event; it represents a spiritual principle that can dramatically transform our lives today.

That day the Lord exalted Joshua in the sight of all Israel; and they stood in awe of him all the days of his life, just as they had stood in awe of Moses.
— JOSHUA 4:14 (NIV)

Joshua’s journey was marked by immense faith and obedience. When Moses passed, the mantle of leadership fell upon Joshua, a moment fraught with as much uncertainty as opportunity. As Joshua led the Israelites to the brink of the Jordan, he faced not only the physical barrier of the river but the spiritual test of his faith.

In these times, like Joshua, we often stand before our own Jordans. These are the challenges and trials that seem insurmountable. Yet, the story of Joshua teaches us that with God, no obstacle is too great. When we obey God’s commands and move forward in faith, we activate His blessings in our lives.

Consider the moment Joshua stepped into the Jordan. The waters didn’t part until his feet touched the water. This act of faith is crucial for us to ponder. Often, we wait for the path to clear before making a move. However, God calls us to step out in faith, to trust that He will make a way even when the path seems unclear.

At All Nations Community Church, we encourage our congregation to live out their faith boldly.

Joshua’s success was not just a personal achievement; it was a communal victory. The Israelites' support and reverence for Joshua’s leadership were instrumental in their collective success. Similarly, our spiritual journey thrives in a community where faith is shared, challenges are faced together, and victories celebrated as one.

At All Nations Community Church, we strive to foster this sense of community. Whether you are struggling with personal issues or seeking spiritual depth, being part of a church community can provide support, accountability, and encouragement.

In Joshua 4, the twelve stones taken from the Jordan serve as a memorial to the Israelites' crossing. These stones remind us of the importance of remembering God’s past faithfulness. They teach us to carry the testimony of what God has done in our lives, which not only strengthens our faith but encourages others.

Let these stones inspire you to recount your blessings and share your testimonies. As Pastor Ras often highlights, sharing our God-given victories can uplift and embolden others in their faith journeys.

Adopting a Joshua mindset means viewing challenges as opportunities for God to manifest His power. When faced with difficulties, instead of being overwhelmed, we can choose to see them as platforms for God to demonstrate His love and might.

This perspective shift is vital. It transforms our approach to life’s battles, ensuring we are not defeated by our circumstances but are expectant of the miraculous.

As Joshua led the Israelites into the Promised Land, he did so with the assurance of God’s promises. We, too, are inheritors of God’s promises. Whether it’s peace, provision, or protection, God has laid out a 'Promised Land' for each of us. Our faith and obedience are key to taking possession of these promises.

Joshua’s story is a testament to the power of faith and the reality of God’s promises. As we emulate Joshua’s trust and obedience, we position ourselves to receive the fullness of God’s blessings.

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the powerful example of Joshua, who teaches us to be courageous and obedient. Lord, help us to step out in faith, to trust You even when the path ahead seems unclear. May Your Holy Spirit guide us, and may we experience the fullness of Your blessings as we walk in obedience. Strengthen our community at All Nations Community Church, that together we may face our Jordans and witness Your hand parting the waters before us. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray, Amen.
