The Supreme Ruler

Revelation 19:16 paints a majestic picture of Jesus:

“On His robe and on His thigh, He has this name written: King of kings and Lord of lords.”

This title, King of Kings, declares Jesus’s ultimate authority over all creation. He reigns supreme, far above every earthly ruler and power. No throne, crown, or kingdom can rival His. His rule is eternal, unchanging, and perfect in righteousness, justice, and love.

What Does It Mean That Jesus Is "The King of Kings"?

  1. Supreme Authority Over All:
Jesus is not just a king among kings; He is the King above all. Every earthly ruler, government, and power is under His authority. His reign extends over all creation, both seen and unseen.

  2. An Eternal and Unchanging Reign:
Earthly leaders rise and fall, but Jesus’s kingship is eternal. His authority will never waver, and His kingdom will never end (Daniel 7:14).

  3. A King of Righteousness and Love:
Unlike earthly rulers, Jesus governs with perfect justice, truth, and compassion. His rule is not marked by oppression but by freedom, restoration, and peace.
