Through the Fire, God Was With Me

In this moving testimony, Itunu Olawale shares how God carried her and her family through a deeply painful and difficult season. She speaks honestly about loss, health battles, fear, prayer, healing, and the strength that only God can give.

Itunu shares how, during the Covid season, she and her husband experienced the heartbreaking loss of their baby at 37 weeks. She also went into a coma for two days, but God brought her back to life. In that painful season, God strengthened the family, surrounded them with prayer, and began a work of restoration.

Later, Itunu faced another major battle when she received a cancer diagnosis. In that moment, the future felt uncertain, but she and her husband chose to pray, fast, stand on God’s Word, and trust Him through the process.

A key scripture that strengthened her was Isaiah 43:1–2, where God promises that when we pass through the waters, He will be with us, and when we walk through the fire, we will not be burned.

Through treatment, weakness, fear, and many difficult days, God continued to show His faithfulness. Itunu testifies that God provided strength, made a way for her family, protected her children, surrounded them with support from the church family, and brought her through.

This testimony is a powerful reminder that God does not always keep us from the fire, but He promises to be with us in the fire. He is still healer, restorer, provider, and the giver of life.
