Welcome, friends. We're so glad to continue our series, Use What You Have, with this powerful message from Pastor Ras. Building on last week's foundation that we are all uniquely formed and filled by God, this week looks into the dynamic life that follows when we choose to activate what He has placed within us.
Many of us sense a calling or a 'spark' of a gift, but so often, it's met with a wave of fear, doubt, or intimidation. We feel unequipped or too afraid to step out. If that speaks to you, this message is your divine encouragement. Pastor Ras offers a stirring and timely reminder that your gifts are not meant to remain dormant. They are your flame to tend, and your authority in Christ is the key to releasing them upon the world.
We pray this message inspires you to fan your flame and walk boldly in the authority Jesus has given you.
A word from Pastor Ras
Paul told Timothy to fan into flame the gift of God that was in him (2 Timothy 1:6). Then he said, God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and self-discipline. Timothy was young and timid, and Paul knew that fear could put his fire out.
Maybe God has put a gift in you: to sing, to teach, to pray, to welcome people, to work with children, to lead. But fear keeps whispering, you are not good enough. Do not listen to that voice. A flame grows when you use it. Start small. Say yes to serving. Step out and trust God to help you.
