What is the ultimate purpose behind the power God works inside of us? He doesn't strengthen us merely for our own comfort or temporary success; He transforms us so that His name receives all the glory!
In the final message of our God Is Able series, I look at Paul’s prayer in Ephesians 3:20–21. Writing from a prison cell, Paul refused to magnify the chains; he chose to magnify the King.
I share:
The Work Within: Why Jesus refuses to be a casual "Sunday guest" and wants full residence in every private room of your heart.
The Witness Together: How we function as a church body to reflect the light of Jesus into a dark world.
Altars Over Trophies: The vital difference between boasting in our own achievements and raising altars of total surrender for the next generation.
"What begins with God's power must end with God's praise. The real business of life is for God to receive the glory."
A word from Pastor Ras
God's power is not given to make us look good. It is given so that people will look at our lives and see Jesus. Paul was in prison when he wrote this prayer, and still he ended with praise: to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus.
That is the goal for every one of us and for our church family. When God answers our prayers, we give Him thanks. When He opens a door, we tell others what He has done. When we succeed, we remember where the strength came from. Let our lives be altars of worship, not trophies for ourselves.
