Moving the Heart of God

Saturday 20 July 2024

Good morning, Men of Honour! Let's welcome another blessed day with hearts ready to connect deeply with God.

In Joshua 23:5, we learn about God's promise to drive out our enemies and give us the land He promised. But in order to truly tap into this, we need to understand how to move God's heart. It's not about showcasing our achievements or presenting ourselves with brilliance; it's about humility and real reliance on God.

Remember, spiritual success is achieved when we set aside our ego and pride. Instead of presenting ourselves as self-made men, we should acknowledge that everything we have comes from God. Abel, unlike Cain, understood this. He didn't boast about his sacrifices; he acknowledged that it was God who provided everything.

Today, let’s challenge ourselves to look in the mirror and say, “It’s not about me, God. It’s about You.” Let's commit to praising God not for what we want Him to do for us, but for who He is. When we do this, we're not only moving His heart but also aligning ourselves with His divine plan.

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, guide us to approach You with hearts full of humility and dependence. Help us to lay down our pride and self-sufficiency, embracing Your strength and provision. Teach us to trust You completely, knowing that You are the source of all good things. May our lives reflect Your love and grace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
