Freedom from Oppression

Monday 15 July 2024

Good morning, ANCC Men of Honour! Welcome to a new day where we gather strength from God and each other.

Acts 10:38 tells us that Jesus came to heal all who were oppressed by the devil. This includes every one of us, facing various battles and burdens. Many have come from places of hardship, carrying stories of oppression that span generations. This shared experience connects us, yet it can also trap us in cycles of control and anger if we let it.

However, it's important to remember that oppression doesn't define us. We often feel cornered by circumstances or overwhelmed by the demands of daily life. Yet, through Christ, we have the power to change our situation. Whether it's a toxic habit, a tough environment, or an inner battle with despair, Jesus offers us a way out. He came to set us free, and when the Son frees you, you are free indeed (John 8:36).

Today, embrace the liberation that Jesus provides. Change begins with accepting His healing and stepping into the freedom He offers. Let's support each other in breaking free from what holds us back, finding new paths to walk in victory and hope.

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, thank You for this new day to gather as Men of Honour. Lord, You know the struggles each of us faces. Help us to recognize the oppression in our lives and give us the courage to break free from it. We ask for Your strength to make changes that lead to freedom and peace. May we support each other in this journey, always relying on the liberty that comes from Your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen.
