Stay in Faith: When Nothing Seems to Change

Have you ever felt like your faith is getting weaker because nothing is changing? You are believing. You are praying. You are declaring God's promises. But the situation still looks the same. The bank account is still empty. The diagnosis is still there. The child is still wandering. And deep down, you start to wonder. Is my faith even working? Am I just fooling myself?

I have been there. I know how exhausting it is to keep believing when nothing seems to shift. Your knees get tired from praying. Your heart gets tired from hoping. But let me tell you something important. Faith is not measured by how fast things change. Faith is measured by whether you keep holding on when they do not.

Hebrews 11 verse 6 says this. "Without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him."

Notice what it does not say. It does not say God rewards those who have perfect faith or huge faith or faith that never doubts. It says He rewards those who earnestly seek Him. The ones who keep coming back. The ones who keep believing even when the answer is delayed. The ones who stay in faith.

Here is the truth. Faith is not about what you see. It is about what you believe. Anyone can have faith when everything is going well. That is easy. That costs nothing. But real faith shows up when things are uncertain. When the doctor gives bad news. When the bills pile up. When the marriage is struggling. Real faith says, "God, I still trust You," even when the answer has not come yet.

Your faith may feel small today. That is okay. Jesus said faith the size of a mustard seed can move mountains. You do not need huge faith. You just need real faith. The kind that keeps showing up. The kind that whispers, "I trust You," even through tears.

And here is the beautiful thing. God sees your faith. Every time you choose to believe instead of give up, He notices. Every time you pray instead of panic, He honours it. Your faith is not wasted. It is being stored up. And in the right time, He will reward it.

Think about Peter walking on the water. The waves were high. The wind was strong. Everything around him said, "This is impossible. You are going to sink." But as long as Peter kept his eyes on Jesus, he stayed above the waves. He walked on water. The moment he looked at the storm, he started to sink.

That is the secret. Keep your eyes on Jesus, not on the circumstances. The waves are real. The wind is loud. But Jesus is bigger. When you focus on Him, you will do things that seem impossible. When you look away, fear takes over. So today, fix your gaze. Do not let what you see shake what you believe.

Today, keep your faith steady. Even if nothing has changed yet. Even if you cannot see the breakthrough. God is working behind the scenes. Your faith is not pointless. It is powerful. Stay in faith. The reward is coming.

Let us pray. Father, strengthen my faith. Help me to trust You even when I do not see change. Keep my eyes fixed on Jesus, not on the storm. I choose to believe that You are working, and that You reward those who earnestly seek You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Keep your eyes on Jesus, church. He has never lost anyone who trusted Him.
