Jesus, the True Ark

1 Peter 2:6 (NIV) "For in Scripture it says: 'See, I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame.'"

We cannot save ourselves, but here is the good news: God sent His Son. Jesus Christ is the true Ark of Salvation and the Chief Cornerstone of our lives. When you build your life on Him, your foundation will stand strong. Charles Spurgeon wrote in his book titled Morning and Evening, "Christ is our refuge, a very present help in trouble... the Ark wherein we are preserved from the flood of wrath."

Jesus entered the troubled waters of our world. He took the judgment we deserved on the cross so we could be rescued. If you are a tired mother trying to hold things together, a father working hard to keep your family safe, or someone feeling lost and alone, bring your worries to Jesus. He is the Architect who builds strong foundations and the Protector who keeps us safe. Give your plans to Him today and let Him build your life on solid ground.

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, I believe You are the Son of God. You are my Ark of Safety. Today, I surrender my plans to You. Wash me clean. Be my Lord, my Saviour, and my Architect. I build my life on Your firm foundation. Thank You for carrying me through the floodwaters of life and sheltering me from every storm. Anchor my heart in Your love and help me trust Your wisdom, even when I cannot see the way ahead. Fill me with Your Spirit so I may reflect Your hope and peace to those around me. Guide my steps and use my life as a testimony of Your saving grace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
