Strength for the Journey
Rasol Manouchehri Ardakani - 26 September 2025
“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
There are days when the road ahead feels long and the weight we carry seems heavy. We start strong, but over time, our energy fades and our enthusiasm wavers. It is in these moments that we must remember: God never intended for us to finish the journey in our own strength.
Isaiah 40:31 gives us a powerful promise. Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. This is not about trying harder or pushing through by sheer willpower. It is about leaning into God’s presence, trusting Him, and drawing from His endless supply of strength.
When we hope in the Lord, we place our confidence in His ability, not our own. Just like an eagle catches the wind and soars higher without flapping harder, we can rest in God’s power to lift us above the weight of our struggles.
Sometimes strength comes as a fresh burst of energy, giving us what we need to run forward. Other times it comes as quiet endurance, helping us take one more step when we feel like stopping. Either way, God is faithful to give us exactly what we need at the right time.
I have learned that strength is renewed in His presence. Prayer, worship, and meditating on His Word refresh our hearts and minds. The more we turn to Him, the more we find that His strength truly is perfect in our weakness.
If you are weary today, take a moment to stop and breathe. Invite God to fill you again. Trust Him to give you the strength for the next step. You do not have to see the entire path, just walk in the strength He gives you for today.
Prayer of the Day:
Lord, thank You that You are my source of strength. Renew me today so that I can walk, run, and soar as You lead me forward. Amen.
