You Are God’s Masterpiece
Rasol Manouchehri Ardakani - 21 September 2025
“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
If you have ever felt ordinary, overlooked, or unimportant, I want you to hear this clearly: you are God’s masterpiece. You were designed with precision, care, and intention. There is nothing random about you. Your appearance, personality, talents, and even your life story are part of a bigger picture God is painting.
The word “handiwork” in Ephesians 2:10 can also be translated “masterpiece” or “work of art.” That means God sees you as something precious and unique. When He made you, He did not make a copy of someone else. He made you to be you.
Sadly, the world tries to convince us that our worth is based on how we look, what we achieve, or how we compare to others. This is far from the truth. Your worth was settled when Jesus gave His life for you. Nothing can add to it or take it away.
Being God’s masterpiece also means you have a purpose. You were created in Christ Jesus to do good works that He planned long before you were born. Your gifts, passions, and experiences are all part of how God wants to use you to make a difference.
I think of an artist who works patiently on a canvas, adding layer after layer, carefully shaping the image until it matches the vision in their heart. That is what God is doing with your life. You may not see the full picture yet, but He is shaping you into something beautiful.
So stop comparing yourself to others and start embracing the truth: you are a one-of-a-kind masterpiece. Celebrate the way God made you, and step boldly into the good works He has prepared for you.
Prayer of the Day:
Lord, thank You for creating me with intention and purpose. Help me to see myself as Your masterpiece and to live in a way that fulfils the calling You have placed on my life. Amen.
