Living with Purpose

Rasol Manouchehri Ardakani - 15 September 2025

For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
— Ephesians 2:10 (NIV)

God did not just make you new so you could feel better about yourself. He made you new so you could live out His purpose for your life. Ephesians 2:10 says we are His handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works that He has prepared in advance for us.

That means your life is not an accident. Your story, your gifts, your opportunities; they all have a place in God’s plan. Even your struggles can be part of the way He shapes you to help others.

Sometimes people think purpose is only for pastors or missionaries, but every believer has a God-given purpose. It might be raising a family that loves Jesus, serving faithfully in your local church, or encouraging someone who is going through a hard time. Whatever it looks like, your purpose is to bring glory to God in the way you live and love.

Living with purpose starts with availability. You may not have all the answers, but you can say, “Lord, here I am. Use me.” When you do, you will find that God opens doors and opportunities you never expected.

So today, live with your eyes open for what God wants to do through you. You are His handiwork, and the world needs what He has placed in you.

Prayer of the Day:
Lord, thank You for giving my life purpose. Help me to use my gifts, time, and opportunities to glorify You and serve others. Amen.
