God's Promise to Always be with You
The verse for today is from Matthew 28:20 (NIV) 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
As human beings, we often find ourselves in situations where we feel alone, lost, and afraid. Whether it is facing a difficult challenge at work, dealing with a health issue, or struggling with a broken relationship, life can be tough. However, as believers in Jesus Christ, we have a powerful promise to hold on to - that God is always with us.
This verse is a powerful reminder of God's unfailing love and presence in our lives. No matter what we are going through, God is with us every step of the way.
When we face challenges and difficulties, it's easy to forget that God is with us. We may be tempted to believe that He has abandoned us or that He is not interested in our struggles. However, this couldn't be further from the truth. In fact, the Bible is full of examples of how God has been with His people through thick and thin.
For example, in the book of Exodus, we see how God was with the Israelites as they journeyed through the wilderness. He led them with a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night. He provided manna from heaven and water from a rock. And even when they rebelled against Him and worshipped idols, God did not abandon them. He remained faithful to His promise to be with them.
Similarly, in the New Testament, we see how God was with Jesus as He carried out His mission on earth. When Jesus was baptized, the heavens opened, and the Holy Spirit descended on Him like a dove. God spoke from heaven, saying, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased" (Matthew 3:17 NIV). Throughout His ministry, Jesus relied on God's presence and guidance, and He remained faithful to His Father's will, even in the face of death on the cross.
As believers in Jesus, we are called to follow in His footsteps. We are called to trust in God's promise to always be with us, no matter what. When we face challenges, we can turn to God for strength and guidance. When we feel lost, we can trust that God will lead us in the right direction. When we feel afraid, we can find peace in the knowledge that God is with us.
In conclusion, God's promise to always be with us is a powerful truth that we can hold on to. No matter what we are going through, we can trust that God is with us, guiding us and giving us strength. So let us not lose heart, but instead, let us press on with confidence, knowing that God is always by our side.
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we thank you for your promise to always be with us. Help us to trust in you and to lean on your strength when we feel weak. Give us the courage and the faith to keep pressing on, knowing that you are always by our side. We pray that you would guide us and lead us in the direction you have for us. May we always be faithful to you, just as you are faithful to us. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
May you be filled with His strength, His peace, and His joy today and always.
In Christ,
Pastor Ras
