Shaila Joseph’s Story of God’s Grace and Healing

In response to Jesus’ last words to his disciples before he ascended into heavens as recorded in Acts 1:8, where Jesus said, “You shall be my witnesses from Jerusalem to Judea to Samaria and to the ends of the world,” I stand here to witness the love of God that I have experienced in my life and want to share it as my faith story, as my story of God’s grace and as my testimony.

Why Worry?

Pastor Rasol started a new series on worry looking at Matthew 6:24-34 asking 3 important questions:

  1. Who Are You Devoted To?

  2. Where Is Your Faith?

  3. Who Do You Seek First?

Worry is a choice.

Seeking first your own security will fuel worry.

Seeking first the agenda of God will set you free from worry.

Three Serious Questions To Ask Ourselves

Pastor Paul looks at 3 questions that we might be asking ourselves especially at the season we are in. For example, some of us may be asking, Lord, why is this pandemic affecting us, while we are believers? Some of us may be asking God why are we forsaken?

This morning we are looking at Matthew 22:15-34 were we can see Jesus was asked several different questions by groups of people and by an individual. They people might have asked the questions for wrong reasons. However, we can use these questions in the right way. Asking the right questions can help us to keep our personal connection with God.

As we are going through this difficult season of lock-down due to Covid-19, maybe God just wants you to be still and let him speak.

A Soft Whisper

Discouragement is one of the most damaging places which a Christian can fall into. It paralyses us, creates a low self-esteem and removes the joy from our souls. Pastor Ras looks at the story of Elijah in 1 Kings and shares how Elijah had allowed the voice of Jezebel, her shout of lies to create fear in his life. God spoke to Elijah through a soft whisper.

It Is Finished

As Jesus was nailed and hung on that cross, Jesus looked at those around Him and spoke His final words as a man. What did he say?

In John 19:28-30, Jesus’ final words were “It is finished”, Jesus completed the task God sent Him to do. Just like Jesus had a specific task during His life, each one of us has specific things God has called us to do in our lives.

Jesus was Amazed

Pastor Ras looked at two different times in the scriptures where Jesus was amazed. If Jesus looked at your faith level would He be amazed at how big and bold your faith is or would He be amazed at your lack of faith?

Walking in Faith

Pastor Fabian shared a message on walking in faith. Abraham is called the father of faith and was immensely blessed by God. Pastor Fabian shared how we can also receive that same blessing and even more, but we can not receive that blessing with Thomas’s faith. We need to walk in faith no matter what the circumstances look like. Faith also requires a corresponding action on our part.
