Starting Your Day with God - Expecting Something New Every Day Pastor Ras

Main Scripture:

Psalm 5:3 (NIV) 3 In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly.

This verse reminds us that our morning time with God is a time of expectation. We should come to God each morning with an open heart and a willingness to receive something new from Him.

Starting your day with God doesn't have to be boring or routine. Here are some ways you can mix it up and seek God in new ways each day:

  1. Worship Him with singing: Put on some worship music and sing your heart out to God. This is a great way to start your day with joy and gratitude.

  2. Listen to Christian music: If you don't feel like singing, you can still listen to Christian music and let the lyrics speak to your heart. This can be a great way to set the tone for your day.

  3. Read His Word: Spend some time reading the Bible and meditating on what you've read. You can also journal about what you've learned and how you can apply it to your life.

  4. Sit in His presence: Sometimes we just need to sit in silence and let God speak to us. Take a few minutes to be still and listen for His voice.

  5. Confess His Word: Speak God's Word over your life and declare His promises. This is a powerful way to start your day with faith and hope.

No matter how you choose to start your day with God, remember to come with an open heart and a willingness to receive something new from Him. Let the Holy Spirit guide you as you seek Him each morning.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for this day. We ask that You help us to start our day with expectation and to seek You in new ways. We pray that Your Holy Spirit would guide us as we spend time with You each morning. We ask for a fresh revelation from You today. Help us to break out of our routine and experience something new and exciting every day. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
